JEE Advanced — 12th Pass / Dropper Programme
You have already appeared for JEE. You know the syllabus, you know the format, and you know where you fell short. A drop year for JEE Advanced is not about starting from scratch — it is about precision. Why this programme works
At Aarohan Institute, our Dropper Programme for JEE Advanced is built around this exact principle. We do not waste your time on what you already know. We begin with a rigorous diagnostic, build your Personal Road Map, and spend the year converting your weaknesses into strengths.
Curriculum
What you will learn
The programme covers the complete JEE Mains syllabus across both years:
Phase 1 — Diagnostic & Gap Mapping (April to May)
- Detailed diagnostic tests subject-by-subject and chapter-by-chapter
- Previous JEE Advanced attempt analysis — question-level review of where marks were lost
- Personal Academic Road Map: strong chapters maintained at speed, weak chapters rebuilt from roots
- Mental reset counselling — addressing exam anxiety and confidence issues from the previous attempt
Phase 2 — Targeted Deep Revision (June to October)
- Complete Class 11 + Class 12 syllabus revision at Advanced depth
- Weak areas given extra sessions and additional problem sets
- Olympiad-level and IIT archive problems introduced progressively
- Situational analysis workshops — Prof. Vadehra’s framework applied to JEE Advanced problem types
Phase 3 — JEE Mains Qualification Preparation (November to January)
- Dedicated JEE Mains mock series to secure a Mains rank that qualifies for Advanced
- Mains strategy sessions: time management, question selection, scoring optimisation
- Mains and Advanced preparation run in parallel — no wasted time
Phase 4 — JEE Advanced Intensive (February to June)
- Full-length JEE Advanced mock tests every week under simulated conditions
- Previous year paper drills — Advanced 2015 to 2024, paper by paper
- Individual 1-on-1 strategy sessions: which chapters to prioritise in final weeks
- Final performance tuning: accuracy, speed, and temperament calibration
Teaching Method
A three-stage learning arc
Every topic at Aarohan follows a structured three-stage learning arc:
Stage 1 Conceptual Depth
For topics where the previous attempt showed weak understanding, we rebuild from first principles — no patching over gaps 01
Stage 2 Situational Analysis Framework
Prof. Vadehra's unique approach to unfamiliar problem types — a systematic way to decompose and solve any Advanced question 02
Stage 3 Pressure Simulation
Exam conditions replicated precisely — same time limits, same question formats, same marking scheme as JEE Advanced 03
Testing & Evaluation
How we measure progress
- Diagnostic test on Day 1 — results inform the entire year’s plan
- Weekly topic tests at Advanced difficulty from Phase 2
- Bi-weekly full-length JEE Advanced mock tests from Phase 3
- JEE Mains mock series from November
- Percentile tracking to benchmark progress against competitive standards
- Parent progress reports at regular intervals

What Makes Our Advanced Dropper Programme Different
- Precision, Not Volume: We do not assign more of everything. We assign the right things at the right difficulty level for your specific gap profile
- Prof. Vadehra's Expertise: Nearly 45 years of IIT-JEE Physics teaching. He has trained students who came back with improved ranks after learning his situational analysis framework
- Advanced-Specific Problem Banks: Our question library goes well beyond standard coaching material — IIT archives, olympiad problems, multi-concept integrators
- Error Pattern Elimination: We categorise every student's mistakes — conceptual, computational, or exam-strategy — and target each category with specific drills
- Mentorship Sessions: Regular one-on-one academic counselling to ensure students stay focused, motivated, and strategically sharp throughout the year
